It is easy to get lost in admiration of the glaze effects that the firing had on these one-of-a-kind, wheel-thrown, wood-fired stoneware mugs.

During the firing, the live flame was fueled by wood and the ash created surface effects on the pieces in the kiln. Each mug was thrown with a warm brown stoneware and finished with various glazes. The direction that the ash and flame traveled in the kiln can be seen by the exterior of each piece.

Hand washing recommended.
