It is easy to get lost in admiration of the glaze effects that the firing had on these one-of-a-kind wheel-thrown, wood-fired stoneware cups.

During the firing, the live flame was fueled by wood and the ash created surface effects on the pieces in the kiln. Each cup was thrown with a white stoneware and finished with a flashing slip. The direction that the ash and flame traveled in the kiln can be seen by the exterior of each piece.

Hand washing recommended.
